Uh-oh: More Bad News for Duane Martin
Martin and his wife, Tisha Campbell-Martin, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, but it seems as that wasn't the end of the money troubles for Duane Martin as he's being accused of jacking money from a distribution company.
According to TMZ, the Real Husbands of Hollywood actor wiggled his way out of paying to air the Floyd Mayweather-Andre Berto fight in his restaurant and now owes the distrubution company, J&J Sports Productions, a lot of money.
J&J reports they had exclusive rights to license the fight over a year ago to bars, hotels, restaurants and casinos, but while other establishments paid up, Martin and his restaurant, XEN Lounge, jacked the feed, and they want what's theirs.
They're now suing the actor, and in the court documents, they say Martin "illegally intercepted" the feed and aired the fight at his establishment, helping him make major profit that night.
While it would have cost a few thousand dollars to get the fight to legally air at the restaurant, J&J is suing for damages totaling in excess of $175,000.
