Remember clean-cut Lupe Fiasco? Yeah, well, he’s gone. Familiarize yourself with the new, rugged, loc’d rapper who’s trying out a new rock-infused look.
On Tuesday, he performed in Oakland at the Fox Theater sans his glasses and dripping with sweat. Fiasco started growing out his haircut quite some time ago, and he’s breezed passed the short afro stage to these growing locs.
Perhaps he was feeling more militant than usual after his encouraging meeting with the Occupy Oakland protesters. The Chicago native stopped by to tell brave citizens not to give up their fight for justice.
