Look: Incredible Story of Beyoncé Songwriter Credited With 'Becky With the Good Hair' Finding Missing Brother of 16 Years
Diana Gordon, 28, has been in the music industry since she was a teen; Until recently, she was best known for helping craft the line 'Becky with the good Hair' for Beyoncé's 'Sorry'
However, her most recent accomplishment cannot be measured in record sales
A few weeks ago, Gordon was reunited with her brother, who went missing after leaving their home in New York 16 years ago.
To make the story even more incredible, Gordon spotted her brother sitting, homeless, at a bus stop near her home in Los Angeles, which is at least 3,000 miles away from where she last saw him.
Gordon, who has also written for Ciara, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Lopez, admitted that she had given up hope of finding her brother.
In an Instagram post that was written right after spotting David, the songwriter said, “After the first decade went by, I lost hope of ever finding him. These last few years, I accepted the fact that we were never going to find him... in my heart I had put him to rest.”
However, once she looked out of her car window and saw who she knew was her brother, she could not contain her emotions.
Although he did not recognize her at first, David eventually agreed to come home with Gordon for some food and a warm bed. Gordon then created a GoFundMe to raise money to take care of David.
