Master P and Soulja Boy Named to GQ ’s Worst Rappers List
Despite platinum plaques, brief commercial success and a combined net worth that could rival a small country, "Crank That" rapper Soulja Boy and "Make 'Em Say Uhh" music mogul Master P have been named part of GQ's "Worst Rappers of All Time" list.
The irreverent list, which also features Chingy, Diddy, Will Smith, Too $hort and Eazy-E, also pokes fun at Hollywood stars who made the failed crossover into hip hop, like Joaquin Phoenix and Mickey Rourke.
While certainly no one would argue that Master P is the best rapper, it should be noted that he was not even the worst rapper in his family. Yet somehow his younger brother, Silkk the Shocker, evaded the list.
Clearly some of the artists named to the list are debatable, but its hard to argue with the top five spots. Ex-backup dancer turned gangster rapper Kevin "K-Fed" Federline came in at No. 5, while '90s rap icon Vanilla Ice held down the fourth spot. YouTube sensation Chet Hanks (Tom Hanks' baby boy), reality star Spencer Pratt (the "white Jay-Z"), and horror-core rappers Insane Clown Posse claimed the infamous top three positions.
And to paraphrase what comedian Katt Williams said, if you don't have haters, you must not be doing enough.
