Déjà vu: Kyrie Irving's Clutch Olympics' Shot Gave Draymond Green a Painful Flashback of the NBA Finals
The Golden State Warriors still feel the sting over coughing up a 3-1 NBA Finals lead to lose the championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers this past June.
It doesn't help that Kyrie Irving gave his USA teammate Draymond Green a painful flashback to those Finals while in Rio de Janeiro during Olympic hoop action Wednesday.
That's when Irving hit a clutch 3-pointer to help lift Team USA to a 98-88 victory over Australia. And the trey was mighty similar to what turned out to be the winning three that Irving drained in Game 7 of the Finals, giving the Cavs a dramatic title win over Green's Warriors.
In fact, Draymond didn't hesitate to take to his Snapchat and let Kyrie know that the shot triggered some painful reminders of the Finals a little bit too soon for his liking.
In case ya'll forgot about the huge three that Kyrie hit over back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry in Game 7 ...
We feel you, Draymond.
Hey, look at it like this, though. You guys are teammates this time.
That and with the addition of Kevin Durant, the Warriors have a great chance of exacting revenge on LeBron James, Irving and the Cavs next year.
