Skip Marley Drop Visuals for ‘Close’
Grammy-nominated artist Skip Marley has returned with the music video for his latest single, “Close.”
The new record is produced by frequent collaborator Rykeyz, who also produced Skip’s history-making RIAA gold #1 global hit “Slow Down” with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter H.E.R.
“It’s modern, but it pays homage to Maxi Priest. I loved the idea of bringing this great song to the new generation,” the singer said of the new track. “On one hand, I’m reminiscing about a girl. For me,
there’s a bigger meaning too. The song hints that I’m back and about to begin another chapter.”
The song features a sample of Maxi Priest's dance floor classic “Close To You,” and the visual, directed by Gabriella Kingsley, is already gaining steam on YouTube. Check it out below.
