‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Apple Watts Underwent Neck Surgery After Car Crash

The reality star is now breathing on her own after suffering brain injury.

Former Love & Hip Hop star Apple Watts is still in the fight for her life after a near-fatal car crash, however, there is good news.

According to TMZ, after the March 23 crash that resulted in two breaks in her neck, a shattered arm and a brain injury, she is breathing on her own. Additionally, Watts underwent neck surgery on March 30, which was a reported success.

The reality star, born Jontelle Lafaye Watts, was driving on a highway in Baker, California when her Mercedes and a Ford F250 pickup truck crashed. Baker’s vehicle reportedly flipped over several times and caught on fire.

It’s unknown what caused the collision or if other passengers were involved.

An investigation about the car crash is ongoing, but, according to Deadline, "drugs or alcohol are not believed to have played a role."
