'All The Queen's Men': Davis Takes a Turn

In episode seven, Detective Davis is ready to risk it all.

After Amp tracks Dime to Big D's hotel, they get into a shouting match while Casanova's not-dead body waits in Big D's trunk. Dime hears the argument and comes down, and when the two begin fighting, she rushes to Big D's trunk to find a weapon to stop them. She freaks out when she spots the body and takes off in Amp's car. Moments later, Big D asks Casanova if he moved when Dime spotted him. Luckily she still thinks he's dead.

Doc calls Madam to tell her he slept with Detective Davis and she's currently asleep in his bed. Davis is disoriented when he awakens her and begins to rush out, knowing she has ruined her career. After getting dressed, she bumps into Madam, who knows everything. Madam says the detective is compromised now, and Davis insists she did nothing before leaving. Madam asks what Doc has on her and says he couldn't get any videos or pictures they could use against Davis.

Davis later meets with the District Attorney Rodds. Rodds introduces her to Jack Watson, who plans to run for mayor. The DA plans for Watson to come out against Club Eden in time for the election and shut it down. The DA insists they work fast and tells Davis to let her know when Casanova checks in. When Davis leaves, Dodds tells Jack that Detective Davis is stupid but greedy, and she'll do what they need of her. Unbeknownst to her, Davis had a recorder in the room and is now aware that the DA was trash-talking her.

Ms. Tandy comes to Champ's, looking for Rayshon. She apologizes for being so rough with him in the past and offers him $25,000 to "move on" with his life, but there's a condition. She wants him to sign a contract to stay silent about his experiences with her and Jack. Rayshon wants to avenge his assault physically and declines her offer of more money. Champ intercepts and demands $125,000 in cash and Tandy leaves.

They later share this development with Trouble, who wants in on it. Rayshon offers $2,000 of his share.

In Madam's office, Dime shares that she saw Casanova's dead body in D's trunk. Madam is already aware that Casanova is dead and is and is fine with it, she just wants to know why Dime was at Big D's hotel. Dime says she went with him because Amp flattened her tires. When Amp is called in, he denies ever doing it. The two of them argue over Amp's behavior, his drinking and drug use. Madam owns up to her part in his emotional decline but warns him this behavior landed him in jail before the start of the series. She tells Amp to stop hurting himself just to hurt Dime. Amp hits her with some heat: "Who are you hurting when you hurt yourself?" he asks. Madam tells him to get lost.

Detective Davis comes to the club to strike a deal with Madam. Davis wants a lot of money to share their evidence on her. Davis needs to make more money at work. To earn Madam's trust, she shares that Casanova is undercover. She doesn't realize that Madam already knows.

Ultimately, Madam gets a call from the nursing home and assumes it's her father checking in with her. But it's Fernando. If you've been watching, you know Madam has a flair for theatrical kills and murdered Fernando's sister-in-law via guillotine. Fernando implies he's about to kill her father the same way. He ends the call, sending Madam into a panic.
