Chris Brown Releases Music for 'Anyone Dealing With Injustice'
As the nation continues to grieve and digest the news of the passing of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, both of whom died at the hands of police in the past 48 hours, many are turning to social media to help cope and share messages of solidarity.
Chris Brown is using his platform positively, releasing a new song today (July 7) dedicated to “anybody dealing with injustice or struggle in their lives.”
The track, “My Friend,” is a beautiful ballad painted with Breezy’s emotional singing and touches on a variety of themes, including the relatable feeling of missing someone you love or have loved.
“We gettin’ killed everyday,” Brown says during an emotional video he posted on Instagram earlier today.
“I’m getting pissed off about this s**t,” the singer continues. “Regardless of however the f**k you view me or anybody else, us as a people need to start coming together and making our voice heard. We don’t have to be violent or irate or belligerent, we can be real articulate humans and really get this s**t together.”
