It's official, guys! Kendrick Lamar is confirmed as the first act to hit the 2015 BET Awards stage. Unable to hold in his excitement for what is sure to be an amazing set, King Kendrick let his fans in on the news on Twitter:

In addition to his upcoming performance, the Compton MC has a lot to look forward to on this last Sunday in June as he is up for two awards: Best Male Hip Hop Artist and the Coca-Cola Viewer's Choice Award.

To date, he already has three trophies under his belt for Best New Artist, Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Best Collaboration, all won in 2013.

Other acts confirmed to set the BET Awards stage ablaze include Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Ne-Yo, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Ciara, and Tinashe. With a lineup like this, you definitely won't want to miss a second.

The 2015 BET Awards, hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson, will air live on Sunday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m.
