Lil Wayne Unleashes 'Krazy'
After teasing his new single "Krazy" on Weezy Wednesdays, Lil Wayne enlisted Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul to follow up on Thursday (June 27) to release the full track.
CP3 is the latest athlete Wayne has called on to help advertise his highly anticipated next album. Kobe Bryant kicked off Carter season by tweeting the album cover in April.
Paul got in on it when he tweeted, "'Krazy' @liltunechi #CarterVseason," along with an image of a prescription signed by Dr. Carter himself.
Produced by Infamous, the song is the self-proclaimed Martian's latest self-diagnosis. Weezy goes off in full mixtape-mode, taking shots at whoever can’t get it. "I ain't got anything else to prove, unless I have to prove it in court," Wayne raps, "Live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse."
The last sentence could be referring to Weezy’s forthcoming retirement, but before he bows out gracefully, the Young Money boss has a couple of major things in store. He announced on June 19 that he will be releasing two albums this year.
"This year, not only will I be dropping Tha Carter V, I'ma be dropping two albums, ya dig?" he said. His reasoning: "Because I been out the game a second, album-wise," and because he's been "working hard as a mother f--ker."
If those two albums weren't just what Dr. Carter ordered, then fans will surely feel it when Carter season continues with a 31-date tour alongside his YMCMB affiliate Drake.
