Nicki Minaj is one busy Barbie. The YMCMB rapper's collaboration with Beyoncé dropped Saturday (Aug. 2) followed up by her "Anaconda" single and video teaser a day later, and today, the 31-year-old is making the rounds on radio. She called into Hot 97 this morning to talk about both projects, and another feature that could be on the horizon. 

Working with Beyoncé came out of the blue. According to Minaj, Queen Bey contacted her through Jay about two months ago. "Jay called me, when I was, like, on my way to Vegas and he said, 'Beyoncé wants you to remix 'Flawless,'" she explained. "And after I got proper medical help and started breathing again, I was like, 'What?'"

Bey encouraged Minaj not to "hold back" on the record, and she obliged. The gritty take-no-prisoners flow on "Flawless" has been compared to her breakout verse on Kanye West's "Monster." Mrs. Carter even stopped by the studio in New York where Nicki was writing and recording. "She was hyping me up," she recalled. "[Saying] Do your thing, don't hold back, go in!"

Another collaboration that may be in the works is one with Remy Ma. The Bronx native was just released from prison last week, and Minaj has been ready to get in the studio with her. "Yeah, I told you guys before Remy even came home, I said I would love to [work] with her,'" she said. "I was a fan of hers before she went to jail, nothing has changed. I've always felt she was at the top of her game in relation to all the MCs in the game."

As for a timeline on the Remy collaboration, there isn't one yet. "We'll see," Minaj explained. "I'm not closing that off, I feel like we'll get the right thing and we'll do it for the people. It's open, up in the air."

Minaj's "Anaconda" single samples Sir Mix a Lot's "Baby Got Back," and is already Top 10 on the iTunes single charts.
