Grizzlies Zach Randolph Accused of Assaulting Woman
With the NBA playoffs just weeks away, the last thing a team needs is an off-the-court distraction.
Yet, that's exactly what the Memphis Grizzlies seem to have on their hands. According to TMZ Sports, their star power forward, Zach Randolph, has been accused of strangling a woman at a Los Angeles hotel. Z-Bo, though, strongly refutes the allegations.
The celebrity news site says the woman is a model who filed a police report with the LAPD on Thursday, alleging that the NBA star "strangled victim causing bruising to her neck" during a Wednesday incident. In addition to claiming she was choked, the woman says she also suffered a black eye, bruises on her back, sore ribs and a sprained neck.
Randolph's agent, Raymond Brothers, told TMZ that "it's a false police report."
Let's see how this pans out and if Randolph misses any time on the court because of it.
The Grizzlies (41-31) are currently in fifth place in the Western Conference with 10 games left in the regular season.
