Laverne Cox made a surprise guest appearance on the season finale on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Sunday (Jan. 30). The award-winning actress shared the news on her Instagram page also announcing that she would be spinning the famous wheel to win prize money for charity.

Cox competed for the Trans Justice Funding Project, “a community-led funding initiative founded in 2012 to support grassroots, trans justice groups run by and for trans people in the United States, including U.S. territories.”

“I used to watch [Wheel of Fortune] with my family when I was younger and when the show came on, it was a time for us to bond, relax, and laugh together,” the Emmy Award-winning star captioned her IG post sharing the news.

She added: “I'm truly blessed to be living out a childhood dream of mine by being a guest on [Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune], meeting Pat Sajak and [Vanna White], and having the opportunity to raise money for the charity of my choice, [Trans Justice Funding Project!].

Other celebrities to compete on the season finale of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune included NFL linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, Von Miller, and actress, comedian and producer, Ali Wentworth.
