Fans of Etta James will have an opportunity to say goodbye to the late music icon at a public viewing on Friday.

According to the Associated Press, the memorial will be held in Inglewood, California. James, a Los Angeles native, died last Friday, at the age of 73, after losing her battle with leukemia. The award-winning songstress, who was most famous for her timeless classic, "At Last," also suffered from other ailments, including dementia.

A day after the public farewell, a private funeral will be held in the Gardena area of Los Angeles. Rev. Al Sharpton will eulogize the late legend at the service. A statement from Sharpton's representative said the funeral will include performances by celebrities, but those names were not announced.

The James family is asking that any donations be sent to the Philadelphia-based Rhythm & Blues Foundation.
