Regardless of the sport, Michael Jordan seems to always be in high demand.

As a superstar in the athletic world, the former Bulls champion is most famous for thrilling fans while also winning on the basketball courts as captain of the Chicago team. Post retirement (the first one), fans saw him try his hand at baseball in 1994 with the Chicago White Sox and many others.

For those who follow the Hall of Famer, many know he’s also a big golf spectator. His enthusiasm for the sport is so big, pro-golfer Fred Couples brought the six-time championship winner with him to PGA’s Presidents Cup tournaments last year in San Francisco.

This year, Jordan was signed up as assistant coach for the four-day competition starting November 7 in Melbourne, Australia. Yet, due to the seemingly never-ending NBA lockout situation, the PGA says he will not able to attend this year.

According to the website, Jordan says, “With the NBA labor situation unsettled, as the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, I feel it is necessary that I remain in the country.”

The PGA acknowledges that the players will miss him, especially because he’s been a regular at the games over the years and apparently is a big hit as a coach.
