Find Out Cardi B’s Non-Negotiable Demand About Her Super Bowl Halftime Performance
Last Wednesday (Sept. 19), Billboard unofficially announced that legendary pop-rock band Maroon 5 would be headlining the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Atlanta. Despite some backlash from famed ATL-bred artists, the rumor is remaining solid, thus far.
Cardi B is allegedly on track as one of the front runners to be a special guest, but the "Girls Like You" co-star has some demands if she's going to be a part of the performance.
Sources are reporting that Cardi B won't perform unless she has a solo set.
Earlier statements implied that Travis Scott was also being scouted to perform. According to TMZ, Bardi is receiving various offers to perform around the same time as the Super Bowl, so naturally, she wants to proceed with the best offer.
Neither the NFL, Cardi or Maroon 5 has directly addressed these claims. In the meantime, Cardi seems to have other things to celebrate.
The Bronx femcee announced that she is "first female rapper with three Hot 100 #1 singles," and "Girls Like You" has hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been charting for 17 weeks.
While fans await official word on the Halftime show, Cardi is still making hip-hop history, and just like that, her golden streak continues.
