Vivica A. Fox Reveals Why She Needed To Start 2022 With A 10-Day Trip By Herself: ‘I Had No More Energy Left For Anyone’

While chatting with the ladies of The Real, Vivica A. Fox shared details about her lifestyle, including her recent excursion shortly after spending the holidays with close friends and family members.
“I took a 10 day vacation all by myself,” Fox excitedly told the co-hosts. “Last year, I was so busy. I was busy and blessed and I just had to shut down. I had no more energy left for anyone. I literally was like, ‘Everybody back up.’ I needed to do it for Vivica. And I've never done that before.”
She went on to share that she embarked on a trip to the islands to relax and relish in the beauty of self-care and self-love. “I went to the islands and just sat back, laid in the sun, and thanked God for another year,” the 57-year-old director explained about the phone-free vacay.

During the interview, we also learned that Vivica is currently dating a special someone. Okay, Ms. Fox! She also revealed that although she has some regrets about not having children, she is still enjoying a full life with her six Godchildren.
“I love children. I mean, I really do. And if it's the one regret that I do have in life is that I just—but my God Babies bring me so much joy. They really do,” she shared. “But I've had a wonderful life. Don’t think that I'm not happy.”
And to those who feel the pressures of choosing a career or children, she dropped this gem: “Back in the day, it was like motherhood or career. That's the old way of thinking. Nowadays, you can have it all! You really can, and I just don't think that women should have to choose between a career and children. You can have it all. You can have a career, you can have children, y’all can travel, y’all can have dogs. Just do whatever you like!”
