Jim Jones Arrested for Driving With Suspended License
Following an arrest on Friday (February 24) for allegedly assaulting a police officer during a casino brawl in Connecticut, Jim Jones was in police custody again on Monday for a vehicular violation.
According to TMZ, the Harlem rapper was nabbed by New York City police officers for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Jones, who stars in the hit VH1 reality series Love and Hip Hop, has since been released from police custody.
In a response to the reports of Jones’s arrest, reps for the Dipset capo told TMZ that this latest run-in with the law was one big mix up, because “Jim does not have a suspended license.”
As the story goes, Jones was a passenger in a double-parked vehicle when cops approached and ordered him to move the car. Upon getting behind the wheel to move the automobile, officers were informed of the rapper’s suspended license and moved in for the arrest.
Unlike the ugly brawl that took place at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Friday night, Jones was taken into custody without confrontation. In fact his reps told TMZ, the cops were “very cool and respectable” during the incident. With his lawyers already working on the case, Jones’s rep expects the case to be thrown out and corrected in no time.
This past October Jones plead guilty to driving his Bentley with a revoked license due to unpaid citations. The misdemeanor offense came with a $200 fine and $80 court fee.
