Wiz Khalifa Hit With Lawsuit Over "Black and Yellow"

A Pennsylvania rapper sues Wiz Khalifa for allegedly stealing the idea for the hit song.

The song made him a household name, but one Pennsylvania artist wants to make it the thorn in his side. Wiz Khalifa is being sued for over $2 million for his breakthrough smash "Black and Yellow," which a songwriter by the name of Max Gregory Warren claims was based on his idea.
Allhiphop.com has uncovered the lawsuit, which claims that Khalifa, his producers and label conspired to rip off Warren's copyrighted 2007 song "Pink and Yellow." Named in the lawsuit are Khalifa, production duo Stargate, EMI Music Publishing, Warner Music Group and others. Warren, who raps under the name "Maxamillion" is seeking $2,375,000 in damages.
"Black and Yellow" was certified 3x platinum as of last summer.
