Esperanza Spalding Is a Natural Beauty on T Magazine \r
Esperanza Spalding is so naturally stunning on the cover of T: The New York Times Style Magazine that the halo of gorgeous hair framing her face outshines even the $13,000 Oscar de la Renta dress she wore. The Grammy award-winning jazz darling is in great company as other stars pose inside the issue in Afros and eveningwear looks that feel part vintage and fully celebrate the beauty of natural hair.
In the feature “Nightie Aphrodites," Solange, Corinne Bailey Rae and Helene and Celia Faussart of the group Les Nubians each show the elegance of natural hair.
Solange’s Giambattista Valli dress gave her smaller coif, styled by Chuck Amos for Bumble and Bumble, an old school look. The ladies of Les Nubians showed evening drama in their black and golden naturals styled by Gerald DeCock and Bottega Veneta gowns. Corinne Bailey Rae let her hair down in tousled curls also by Gerald DeCock.
We love the idea of this shoot and the reiteration that natural hair can be diversified. What do you think of the pictures? Sound off in our comments.
