Snoop Dogg Confirms Death Of Drummer Carlos McSwain

McSwain giged with the Long Beach rapper off-and-on for years.

Snoop Dogg has confirmed the death of drummer Carlos “Los” McSwain.

  • Via a post on Instagram, the Long Beach rapper tributed his colleague and friend. “Gone to soon,” Snoop captioned under a pic of him and McSwain.

  • It’s currently unknown publicly how McSwain passed away. His official Instagram account, @lospic, also confirmed his passing. A pic of clouds was posted with a caption reading, “Bout to be in the sky !!!”

    The drummer and producer collaborated with Snoop Dogg during live performances and other gigs until 2012, when he announced he was no longer working for Tha Doggfather. However, as of late, he began working with the emcee again and provided drums for his 2018 album Bible of Love.

    He also was a drummer/producer for Tha Dogg Pound’s 2010 album That Was Then This Is Now, Lupe Fiasco’s 2012 album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1, Daz Dillinger and WC’s 2013 LP Westcoast Gangsta S**t, and was a composer on Kevin Hart’s mixtape, Kevin Hart: What Now?, among others.

    Los McSwain was also a member of the Los Angeles-based group 1500 or Nothin', an ensemble collective of songwriters, musicians, record producers, and music videographers formed in 2006.
