Ace Sanders Suspended 10 Games for Positive Drug Test
So this is why the Jacksonville Jaguars released wide receiver Ace Sanders last month.
After releasing Sanders on July 17, it was announced Monday that Sanders has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2015 season for a second failed drug test, as reported by ESPN.
This comes after Sanders was also suspended for the first four games of the 2014 season for testing positive on a drug test and thus violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
Sanders, 23, never quite got his footing in that 2014 season, only catching six passes for 55 yards and averaging 7.1 yards on 32 returns as a punt returner.
This latest suspension not only puts prospects of his 2015 season in doubt, but casts serious concern over the future of his career in the league overall.
