Huh? Lena Dunham Feels 'Unsafe' Because of Kanye
Kanye West's video for "Famous" is proving to be as controversial as the track itself, to the point where even people who were not one of the 11 stars depicted in the clip are feeling the need to chime in.
The latest to offer her thoughts are Lena Dunham, a close friend of Taylor Swift, who appears sleeping naked next to Kanye in the video. While it's pretty evident that Taylor has been portrayed with the help of CGI and perhaps even some wax, that didn't stop Dunham from wreaking havoc over the "violation" of her pal's privacy.
After actually comparing Kanye to Stanford rapist Brock Turner, Dunham writes, "Now I have to see the prone, unconscious, waxy bodies of famous women, twisted like they’ve been drugged and chucked aside at a rager? It gives me such a sickening sense of dis-ease."
She continued, "I know that there’s a hipper or cooler reaction to have than the one I’m currently having. But guess what? I don’t have a hip cool reaction, because seeing a woman I love like Taylor Swift (f*ck that one hurt to look at, I couldn’t look), a woman I admire like Rihanna or Anna, reduced to a pair of waxy breasts made by some special effects guy in the Valley, it makes me feel sad and unsafe and worried for the teenage girls who watch this and may not understand that grainy roving camera as the stuff of snuff films…"

As expected, Twitter is going all the way in on Lena and the white privilege inherent in her comments:
What do you think? Is Lena justified in her critique or is she shedding white tears for no reason?
