Remember The Joy: DMX’s Closest Friends Share Personal Stories About The Late Rapper

During a 2017 episode of the popular food show Hot Ones, Gabrielle Union recalled a “real fun fact” about the rapper in how he used to really enjoy the 80s sitcom The Golden Girls.
The actress says that while on the set of the 2003 film Cradle 2 the Grave, she was tasked with getting X, because he was a dog person, to help them with a dog-biting incident.’
Instead of coming out right away X invited her in for a drink and to watch the program with him.
"This s**t is funny!" Union said DMX told her. She also claimed the rapper would “laugh hysterically” at the show.
DMX passed away on Friday (April 9) after suffering a heart attack following a drug overdose a week earlier. He was admitted to White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York on April 2 and was described as being in a “vegetative state.” He never regained consciousness.
Union tweeted that she and X “bonded over our shared love of dogs, cold beer, Golden Girls reruns.”
2Chainz recalled “hanging out with him with Luda and how he enjoyed playing with remote control cars and airplanes !!!”
Chris Rock said he and X talked about their kids “all day” the last time they were together.
