Funkmaster Flex: I Have More Reference Tracks on Drake
Those hoping that the Drake ghostwriting controversy would quietly subside are in for some disappointing news as the scandal is just heating up. Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex recently took to Twitter, claiming that he has the reference tracks for "Blessings," "R.I.C.O." and "Know Yourself."
Going directly to the source, Flex mentioned Drizzy in a tweet, daring him to say that his words were false. "Song #1 I have the reference track to 'blessings' TELL ME I F*****G LYING??? I F*****G DARE YOU??? @DRAKE ?????????????," he tweeted.
After that, Flex went on a mini rant criticizing the "young" MCs for being unoriginal: "You n****s are young n****s who think the 'Greatest' means 'collaborating' WHO THE F**K TOLD YALL THAT???? You Wrong!!"
He slammed the "0 to 100" rapper even further, comparing him to contemporary and legendary icons in the rap game. "Jay, Nas, Pac, Big, Em, Kendrick and J.cole don't have 4 f*****g reference tracks of a n***a doing his verse!!!!!! @Drake."
It didn't end there, either. The famous DJ had more tea to spill, threatening to leak another reference tracks for Meek Mill's "R.I.C.O.," which Drake is featured on. "Song #2 !!!! I got the reference track to RICO!!! F*****G TELL ME IM F*****G LYING????? @DRAKE ??????"
...And another: "Also have reference of KNOW YOURSELF!!! N***a from Atlanta wrote a song about your city!!!! You a great record maker!!! If you lie you CB4."
He ended his anti-Drake rant with these fighting words:
