According to The Hollywood Reporter, Thandie Newton will star opposite Tyler Perry in Lionsgate’s Good Deeds, a romantic comedy about a man who is torn between the girl he’s going to get married to and a new girl he just meets and falls in love with.

Perry is writing, directing and starring in the project, which is being produced by his Tyler Perry Studios. Newton was last seen in For Colored Girls, while Tyler Perry’s next project, Madea’s Big Happy Family, opens at the end of this month.
