Here’s Why Azealia Banks Can’t Release New Music This Year
Azealia Banks says she can't drop any new content this year because she's "really bad at choosing business partners." The Harlem rapper went on Twitter recently blasting her former manager and record label while simultaneously explaining why her music is frozen until 2016.
It wasn’t always bad between Banks and her former manager, Jeff Kwatinetz, CEO of Prospect Park. ”Everyone told me she was unmanageable and difficult," Kwatinetz said in a Billboard interview. “She had a lot of history, a lot of challenges. But she's the most talented artist I've ever worked with."
After years of delays, Banks released her Broke With Expensive Taste debut last November. The album has sold 31,000 copies since its release.
