'You Mean Like This?' Real Women Show Donald Trump What It Means to #DressLikeAWoman in Response to Sexist Dress Code for Female Staffers

"Go back to 1960 and take President Bannon with you."

As the second week of his presidency comes to an end, there's no denying that President Trump has gotten off to a rocky start. While the public chooses to focus on national and domestic issues, it has become apparent that the president has different priorities.

After his inauguration, Trump decided to focus on crowd size and media coverage instead of his first plans of action, and now, according to a report by Axios, the president is also fixated on the wardrobe of his female staffers.

According to a source who was involed in Trump's campaign, the president likes the women on his staff "to dress like women."

"Even if you're in jeans, you need to look neat and orderly," the source told Axios. This included women who worked on the field of his campaign by knocking on many doors to round up support. Although those women had a difficult job, they felt tremendous pressure to wear dresses in order to impress President Trump.

  • Because Trump is certainly no stranger to sexist remarks, women have gotten pretty good at responding to him

  • As a way to challenge the president, women everywhere showed pictures of how real women dress with the hashtag #dresslikeawoman

  • Perhaps the president needs a reminder of what real women look like

  • Additionally, president Trump reportedly scrutinizes his male workers as well

"If you're going to be a public person for him, whether it's a lawyer or representing him in meetings, then you need to have a certain look. That look — at least for any male — you have to be sharply dressed. Preferably, I would say, solid colors. … You should have a good physical demeanor, good stature, hair well groomed," said a source who works close to Trump.

  • After Press Secretary Sean Spicer's first briefing, Trump was allegedly more upset with his outfit than he was with the content

"It'd be one thing to wear a pinstripe that fit him perfectly," one source close to Trump told Axios regarding Spicer's appearance. "But, it was like, he had a gap in his collar. I was like, 'Oh, God, he's going to get reamed.'"

  • Sean Spicer quickly learned his lesson and upgraded his suit collection; however, he didn't upgrade the way he handles the press

  • One person who apparently is exempt from dress scrutiny is Steve Bannon

"Steve is Steve ... He's cavalier almost about what he wears," one source told Axios.
