DJ Khaled has today (February 29) announced that he is the latest to sign with Roc Nation’s management division, joining the team alongside the likes of Rihanna, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Shakira and more. Talk about squad goals.

The announcement came by way of a video that shows Jay Z giving his newest recruit what he says is the last original Roc-A-Fella chain from his personal collection, which basically doubles as the ultimate co-sign. 

Jay Z has been making all sorts of business moves already this year, including partnering with other management companies, such as Phil McIntyre’s Philymack management company, which handles the careers of stars such as Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas. 

Khaled’s rise to fame has been in part due to his consistently hilarious (and now viral) Snapchat ventures. The Miami-based DJ has been winning over fans at an immense rate the past year, and Hov is smart to take him under his wing.

The Snapchat star is known for his work as a producer, DJ and a radio personality, and most recently has signed a new radio deal with Apple Music, which ironically is direct competition with Jay Z’s streaming company, Tidal. We trust Hov has a larger business plan in mind, as per usual. 

In the meantime, it’s a safe bet to say that Khaled's schedule is booking up fast.
