After last weekend's disastrous results, James Bond saved the day at the box office, opening to $73 million for the second biggest Bond debut of all time.
Spectre fell short of Skyfall’s $88.4 million record from November 2012, though, thanks to The Peanuts Movie, but still comes in as the seventh biggest opening of the year domestically and breaking Skyfall's records internationally.
The Peanuts Movie also made a solid debut, bringing in an estimated $45 million and eating into Spectre’s audience. 
Matt Damon's The Martian held on to third place, staying strong in its sixth weekend for an estimated $9.3 million. Goosebumps and Bridge of Spies rounded out the top five, with $7 million and $6.1 million, respectively.
All together, this weekend brought in more than double last weekend’s dismal total. Looks like things are back on track for a strong finish to the year. Next week, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's marital drama By the Sea will attempt to lure some adults away from Spectre, but Peanuts should continue to attract families.
