Rappers penning hit songs about the woes surrounding their baby mamas is far from new, but Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo is looking to use his baby mama drama for an even greater purpose – an upcoming Oxygen reality show. Father to nine girls and 2 boys by 10 different women, the “Foolish” rapper told MTV news that his family life is way more stable than it may sound.

“Outta all the 10 baby mamas, I just have problems outta one,” says Shawty Lo. "If I wasn't taking care of my kids then you would really dog me out, but I'm taking care of my kids, providing for my family.”

Although the one out of ten ratio isn’t bad, Lo and his upcoming reality show have been the target of heavy scrutiny since the show's trailer hit the Internet two weeks ago. Some have called for the show's cancellation, via petition, before its spring air date.

Far from bothered by the fuss surrounding the show the “Dey Know” rapper wants the public to know that he’s a good dad.

"You can hate all you want to, I didn't ask for it. It just happened. Now that it happened, I'm supposed to turn my back against it?"

The family drama may have all the makings of a train wreck caught on camera, but Shawty Lo's out to prove he's no rolling stone.
