J.Cole Nabs Jay-Z For 'Cole World'
It's been a waiting game for J.Cole. The North Carolina is signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label with Live Nation and recently wrapped his debut album entitled Cole World: The Sideline Story, but he was nervously awaiting a feature from someone pretty important.
"No Jay-Z verse as we sit here and talk, so I don't know if he's just fucking with me or…" Cole told Rolling Stone days before he submitted his completed album. "But I've already mentally prepared myself, like 'If it doesn't happen, it's all good.'
"The song I have for Jay really goes with the concept of my album The Sideline Story so perfectly, right?" Cole continued. "Jay is a coach figure, and I'm on the bench looking for that nod, like 'Yo, it's your time to come in the game.' It's damn near poetic that it's come down to the wire."
Fortunately for the MC born Jermaine Lamarr Cole, things all came together at the last second. The Cole World: The Sideline Story tracklisting hit the Internet today (August 28) and it is as follows:
1. "Intro"
2. "Dollar and a Dream III"
