Rihanna's Fans Help Make Her Perfume a Success
Rihanna is enjoying the sweet smell of success thanks to her first perfume, Reb’l Fleur.
On April 29th, the singer was surprised to find a supersized crowd lined up at the Herald’s Square Macy's in New York to buy the floral fragrance and get autographs. "This sh-t looks like a parade... MACY's," she tweeted upon arriving at the department store in a Mandalay dress and Christian Louboutin heels.
According to WWD, she racked in $60,000 in sales that day and the scent has remained a top 10 women’s fragrance at Macy’s since its official launch in January. After her appearance, she gave credit where credit was due: "Thanx to all my lovers for showing #MAJAH support @ Macy's today #RebLFleur it was a huge success thanks to u and the hard working staff!" she tweeted.
The perfume takes it’s name from the French script that Rihanna tattooed on her neck in fall 2010 that reads “Rebelle Fleur” (or rebel flower).
