Hip-Hop Is Livid With T-Pain After He Made This Confession About Snitching

"I don’t approve this message…”

Hip-hop’s resident auto-tuner and Florida music luminary T-Pain has unfortunately landed on hip-hop’s bad side for his street code sentiments on Big Boy’s Neighborhood.

Teddy Penderazdoun dished on several of the industry’s hottest topics, including the RICO charges of jailed Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. The “Dummy Boy” creator is under a scrutinizing eye after reports surfaced that he was being transferred to a new prison famous for holding police informant witnesses—known otherwise by the streets as “rats.” Other reports surfaced that 6ix9ine is also cooperating with law enforcement in the federal case to knock down his chances of life imprisonment, which he’s reportedly facing on the slew of federal charges. But let T-Pain tell it, 6ix9ine’s decision to rat out his alleged co-conspirators is totally understandable and even relatable for him if he were in the 22-year-old’s shoes.

“I would snitch so hard,” he said with a laugh upon being asked about the “FEFE” rapper’s case. He emphasized that the Brooklyn rapper has a family to consider, and, despite those saying he shouldn’t have been involved in the illicit affairs in the first place, T believes he did so as a means to gain more status to continue feeding his family. “At some point,” he continued, “when does the street code override your family?... Because these some n**gas you just met two years ago. You got a full daughter, my n**—you got a whole daughter. Who are you really being loyal to?”

T-Pain recognized that he knew it was just a matter of time before 6ix9ine, whom he also dubbed the king of New York for a minute, got caught up. “Most kings fall, bro,” he said. “A king can’t be a king forever.” His opinion fell in the earshot of Philly rapper and one of the Major Figgas founders Gillie da Kid, who promptly let the Epiphany rapper know that he was putting the wrong energy out on that subject matter. “If you a young n**ga and you feel how this n**ga T-Pain feel, then don’t sign up for the streets!” he demanded in a rather harsh video addressing T’s thoughts. “He talking about, ‘I would snitch so hard.’ B**ch, snitching regular is snitching hard!’”

Gillie’s passionate response apparently didn’t go unsupported either after several others from hip-hop (and the streets circle) chimed in, including Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill, Ja Rule and more.
