Despite penning an Instagram DM apology to Nicki Minaj last year, Harlem rap talent Azealia Banks is reneging on her truce, and it’s all thanks to Ms. Minaj’s aquatic theme for her “Bed” video.
Azealia’s roller-coaster relationship with Nicki, and a handful of other femcees, goes way back at least three years. After slamming the BET Awards in 2015 for its recognition of Nicki as Best Female Hip-Hop Artist over the years, a slew of more anti-Barbie mouthfuls and perpetual jabs aimed at Nicki followed. She somehow had a change of heart after Nicki’s rap beef with Bronx femcee Remy Ma though, where she initially sided with Rem, then swiftly joined Nicki’s team and ignited her own tension with the Terror Squad artist.
Now, the Ice Princess is jumping ship yet again, and she’s got select words for the Queens-bred Barbie honcho.
