When it comes to historic televised TV trials, O.J.’s may have to move over and make room for Le King of Pop.

On Monday, L.A. Superior Court judge Michael Pastor decided to allow television cameras to film the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, who faces up to four years in prison for involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop icon Michael Jackson.

Reuters reports the judge also pushed up the trial date by four days to March 24, when jury selection will begin. Pastor has blocked cameras from taping the selection and requested proposals from local news crews to ensure the "absolute least intrusive placement" of a TV camera in the courtroom during the trial.

The trial is expected to last approximately six weeks.
