Fatherhood Image Film Festival Celebrates Dads
The Fatherhood Image Film Festival is paying homage to the complexities of being a dad.
Harlem Professionals, Inc., Strive International and the National Association of Each One Teach One have teamed up to launch the inaugural Fatherhood Image Film Festival. The four-day event will start Thursday, August 8 and be held in several theaters and parks within the five boroughs in the city of Manhattan.
Films showcased at FIFF will depict and address fatherhood issues and favorable fatherhood models. Highlights of the fest include From Fatherless to Fatherhood (Dir. Kobie Brown), Life Love Soul (Dir. Noel Calloway) and Barbasol (Dir. Ralph Scott).
The fest will also feature panelists such as hip hop icon Bobbito Garcia, reality star Robert Brace and filmmaker Felix Campos.
The Fatherhood Image Film Festival is endorsed by the NAACP and Rep. Charles Rangel (New York). Visit their website for more information and tickets.
