Snoop Dogg Apologizes to Iggy Azalea Over Instagram Joke
Snoop Dogg spoke to T.I., our resident rap super hero, and he's decidely done taking shots at Iggy Azalea. "Boys and girls, I just got off the phone with my homeboy Tip, the king of Atlanta, and it's officially over," he said in a new video posted to his Instagram. "I apologize ... I won't do it again."
The Doggfather stirred up somewhat of a problem a few days ago when he posted a meme of a woman with the title, "Iggy Azalea No Make Up," and the news cycle went wild after Iggy tweeted and deleted a fiery response.
"Why would you post such a mean pic on insta when you send your body guards to ask me for pictures every time we are at shows together?" she apparently wrote.
She then turned her side eye towards TMZ, addressing the description of her as "fuming mad" over the image.
"lol, i wish writers exaggerated the positive s**t going on in this world too. Im not 'fuming mad' at anyone," she wrote.
The social media battle did get messy to the point that Iggy's boyfriend, Lakers player Nick Young, jumped into the fray.
After two days of back and forth social media digs between the Aussie rapper and music vet, T.I., who serves as a mentor to Iggy, stepped in to squash the drama.
All seems well now. Soon after Snoop said sorry, Iggy tweeted, "I appreciate the apology," and asked everyone to move on from the situation.
"Let that be that people, time to focus on the positive things I've got going on. no time to dwell on the negative," she wrote.
