[Technical Foul?] Is Kyrie Irving's Baby Mama Keeping His Daughter From Him?
It has been over five months since Kyrie Irving became a dad to a newborn daughter.
Although the NBA All-Star guard's love for his baby girl hasn't changed, his feelings toward his baby mama have.
Last week, it was reported that Andrea Wilson filed court papers asking a judge to grant her a new paternity agreement for how their baby Azurie's $4,500 monthly child support is spent.
In reaction, Irving wants to void their agreement.
Well, on Wednesday, Bossip reported that a judge has denied Irving's request.
That's troubling news for the Cleveland Cavaliers guard, especially considering that he claims Wilson is using the paternity agreement to keep his daughter away from him and that she controls when he can see the baby, violating Texas state law.
"The mediated settlement agreement contains no condition on which respondent [Wilson] must agree to possession,” Irving's attorney wrote in court documents obtained by Bossip last week. “As such, she may deprive, and has deprived, Kyrie Andrew Irving of possession of or access to the child for any reason, or no reason at all.”
Under their current agreement, both parents are named "joint managing conservators" of Azurie, although Wilson is listed with primary custody of the child.
All of sudden, being dragged on social media for his alleged girlfriend Kehlani being photographed in PartyNextDoor's bed doesn't seem so bad.
We hope that Kyrie's relationship with his daughter improves soon.
In the meantime, he can use the other court to escape his troubles, as the Cavs host the Detroit Pistons for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Wednesday night.
