Ever Wanted to Dress Gabrielle Union? Here's Your Chance
Ever want to raid Gabrielle Union’s closet? (Guilty!) Well, that may have to remain a dream for the meantime, but she is giving her fans a chance to help influence her personal style.
The Being Mary Jane star is serving as a celebrity host for the Covet Fashion app through February. The app allows her fans, or as she affectionately dubs them, “friends I haven’t met yet,” to weigh in on the #OOTDs posted on the app. So, everything from the silhouette to how she wears her hair is fair game.

She told People.com, “It actually enables your friends you haven’t met yet to sort of put them [to] use and actually tell you, ‘I love this, but I didn’t love your hair … [or] if you were to put on a different shoe or maybe if the top was cropped.’ I love that.”
“This partnership, it actually allows me to see peoples’ idea about what they’d like to see me in. It actually shows off their sense of style and gives me new ideas that I hadn’t thought of. It’s actually really cool and super interactive, which I love.”
She explained to the magazine that she’s currently into “a space of being a sneakerhead,” so it wouldn’t hurt to throw her some feedback on marrying “style with comfort.” The actress loves sharing her chic style on Instagram, so there should be plenty of inspiration to get you started.
One thing she is not willing to change, however, is her style mantra. “I’m not going to force myself into an outfit that just doesn’t look right [even if it’s planned],” she explained. “If my body is not cooperating that day I am not going to force it and then be uncomfortable and fidgeting all day and feeling insecure about something. If I can’t walk out of the house feeling like Beyoncé it’s not worth it. If I don’t feel like Beyoncé or Janet Jackson, it’s like, What are we doing here?”
