Will Smith is Preparing to Drop a New Album

The 'Bad Boys' actor has been teasing a musical comeback since his Coachella appearance with J Balvin and BET Awards 2024 performance.

After 20 years since his last album, Will Smith will likely release a new one soon.

After appearing with J Balvin during his set at Coachella, performing the “Men In Black” theme song, many wondered if Smith was planning a return to the medium that launched his career.

Then, after a successful press tour for the fourth installment of “Bad Boys,” Smith appeared at the BET Awards and hit the stage, debuting a new record called “You Can Make It,” furthering the speculation that a body of work may be on the horizon.

Fast forward, Smith revealed on an Instagram post this week how he finished his new album and decided to take a car ride with people he trusts to give him feedback as they blast the records in the car. One person in particular, Russ, collaborates on one of the new records with Smith.

In an interview with Fandango in May, Smith teased that he had been working on a project for about a year and a half.

“I have a project that is the most personal and powerful music project I’ve ever done,” he expressed.

“The idea of the music is dancing your darkest moments.”
