Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are currently in discussions with American Idol producer Simon Fuller to create a Latin American version of American Idol in which Lopez and Anthony travel the region looking for undiscovered vocal talent. The show is tentatively titled Que Viva and is being shopped around to various networks.

If Que Viva flys, it is unclear if Lopez will remain a judge on American Idol or work on the new show full time. According to Entertainment Weekly, Lopez's contract for American Idol is only for one season, but given the successful ratings, it will likely be renewed.
