“DWTS” Contestants Announced

The contestants for the 12th season of Dancing With the Stars have been announced. And, as usual, the hit show has assembled a must-see potpourri of celebrities, especially with its pool of Black dance contestants.

Self-proclaimed media queen Wendy Williams, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, NFL star Hines Ward, and Master P’s son, rapper/actor Romeo, will be strutting their moves for the upcoming season, along with wrestling champ Chris Jericho, reality star Kendra Wilkinson, original Karate Kid Ralph Macchio, Disney star Chelsea Kane, supermodel Petra Nemcova, and radio host Mike Catherwood

Romeo was originally signed up to shake his groove thing on Season Two, but was replaced at the last minute by his equally famous father, Master P (whose moves on DWTS have been touted by many critics and fans of the show as some of the worst in the program’s history; his Paso Doble routine reportedly holds the record for the lowest score ever).

Wendy Williams’s talk show is reportedly scheduled to go on hiatus while she competes on the show.

Season 12 of Dancing With the Stars will debut on Monday, March 21.
