Wale Is Getting Slammed For Calling Jerry Seinfeld A 'Legend' For Refusing To Say The N-Word
Yesterday (December 22), Twitter went wild after video from 2011 showed Chris Rock giving some of his fellow white comedians permission to use the N-word.
The segment is from the HBO film Talking Funny and features Rock, Louis C.K., Jerry Seinfeld and Ricky Gervais talking comedy.
The clip begins with CR referring to C.K. as “the blackest white guy I f***ing now. And all the negative things you think about black people, this f***er…” C.K. then ratchets it all up and replies, “You’re saying I’m a n****r?”
“Yes, you are the n*****est f***ing white man, I have ever…”, Rock says back with C.K. and Gervais laughing hysterically. Seinfeld, however, doesn’t seem too comfortable and says the he doesn’t think Rock can simply give white people permission to use the racial slur.
It made Twitter condemn Chris Rock and promote Jerry Seinfeld. Wale, who recorded an album with the sitcom god, took to the social media app promptly and praised his former collaborator.
While Seinfeld did not decided to use the N-word during the segment, people are pointing out that people’s standards are so low in the face of so much racism in America
