Olympian Love Story: Get To Know All About Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield’s Relationship
Noah Lyles recently made history with his first Olympic title of his career. He won gold in the 100 meters, making him the first American man to do so in 20 years.
While Lyles proves that he is “the fastest man in the world” at the Paris 2024 Olympics, let’s look at his life away from the tracks – his girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield.
Bromfield is a Jamaican sprinter. While Lyles primarily competes in the 100 and 200 meters, she specializes in the 400. In 2020, she competed in the mixed 4 x 400 meters relay race at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo and won a bronze medal.
The couple met in 2017 through social media, with Bromfield sliding into the DMs first. After months of talking, they met in person, but things didn’t end well during their first date, so they decided to stay friends. They never lost contact with each other, and in 2022, Lyles decided to give romance another chance by asking her out again, and the rest was history. They now live together in Florida and even trained for the Olympics together.
“Whenever I get in a relationship, I’m very serious,” Lyles said during an interview on the Fast Lane Lifestyle podcast. “We’re going to grow old together and it’s going to be forever.
Although they keep things professional on the field, the couple often publicly display affection. In April 2024, Bromfield shared that Lyles gifted her with a car. “First car. Paperwork took so long my excitement ran out. Thank you baby,” she shared on Instagram.
More recently when Bromfield secured her spot on the Olympic team this year, Lyles quickly congratulated his girl on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “THATS WHAT [I’M] TALKING ABOUT!!!!! @JunelleBromfiel IS GOING TO THE OLYMPICS IN THE 400m!!!!”
