True or Nah? Read Why Bill Cosby's Lawyer Blames the Media
Bill Cosby recently made a huge change to his case as he has parted ways with his legal team and will now pass on the reigns of his civil ligation to Angela Agrusa of Liner LLP.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Agrusa released a statement divulging details on "imbalanced media coverage" of the case and getting Cosby back to his good name.
"Trying Mr. Cosby in a court of public opinion as imbalanced media coverage promotes, runs directly counter to our judicial system's most fundamental guarantees of fairness under the law," she said. "Those, like Mr. Cosby, who face this sort of scrutiny without having had their day in court, need and deserve representation to ensure that justice does not yield to news cycles and sound bites. Mr. Cosby seeks a just resolution to the accusations leveled against him, and as lawyers experienced in complex, high-profile matters, we will work to safeguard his rights to the fullest extent in that pursuit."
Talks on Cosby switching his legal team first began back when Quinn Emanuel withdrew from the Massachusetts defamation case filed against the fallen TV dad.
