2016 appears to be the year of Azealia Banks saying outrageous things and then apologizing a week later.

After experiencing hitting new low after new low on social media, such as coming at Iggy Azalea and getting her Twitter account suspended, does her latest apology hold a new weight convincing us to believe she finally is turning over a new leaf and thinking before she speaks?

In a lengthy post on Facebook, the rapper has asked for forgiveness from the LGBT community, while also vowing to never use the word “f****t” ever again.

"The amount of people that get hurt when I use the word vs. the amount of people I've said it to are just not worth it," Banks wrote.

The rapper then went into detail on how she now is starting to realize that her decision to use derogatory language may actually cost her in the long run. Considering her social media antics have already started costing her gigs, her zipping her lip may in fact be the best thing for her career right now.

"I love to please and inspire others with my music and art the most, more than I love anything in the world,” she continued. “To lose out on a chance to make people feel good and smile and be happy would be the dumbest thing I could do in this lifetime.”

While her apology has, for the most part, gone over well with her fans, one still has to wonder if her apology to the LBGT community is sincere or not. Perhaps she's realized enough is enough but changed behavior really is the truest apology.
