R. Kelly Is Sending His Deepest Apologies, But Not For What You Think
No matter how silent he remains, it seems R&B singer R. Kelly won’t be able to duck those sex cult rumors for too much longer and especially now that Hollywood is getting even louder about the allegations.
In fact, those “rumors” are catching up to Pied Piper in a way that’s affecting not only him, but his fans as well.
Kelly apologized to his fans in Chicago, presumably where the concert was supposed to take place, and his fans all over the world for the cancellation. According to him, there could only be one reason they chose to ax the show at such late notice.
“I don’t know why they canceled the show,” he said. “I’ve never heard of a show being canceled because of rumors, but I guess it’s a first time for everything, so I apologize to you guys, in the meantime, we’re gonna try to get to the bottom line of it.”
The Chocolate Factory artist said that his legal team would be seeking out answers but ensured that the show’s recall was no doing of his own.
“Don’t put that on me, you know?” he concluded. “It ain’t on me.”
What does happen to currently be on him, however, are the persisting accusations connected to his reported sexual deviancy. Kelly’s former girlfriend Kitti Jones shared in a documentary that he’d even involved a 14-year-old girl in his “sex dungeon” that he’d been “training.”
No further information on the cancellation or the venue’s official statement explaining the incident has been made available yet.
