Ramarley Graham would have turned 21 a few days ago, but his life was taken in 2012, when a police officer busted into his Bronx home that February.
Instead of celebrating his birthday, the family has sent letters to the Justice Department to open a full investigation in his case. Since Graham's death, his family has been in a constant fight for justice for the teen.

Graham's killer, Richard Haste, has not faced a trial for the death since both of his indictments have been dismissed.
“All I want is justice for the murder of my son and the Department of Justice is truly the only level of our justice system left that can provide accountability for the violation of Ramarley’s civil rights," said his mother Constance Malcolm.

In August 2013, the department announced that it would be reviewing the case, but the family says there has been no indication that there was a full investigation opened.
